10 months into owning a professional women’s soccer team, KC Current Co-Owners Angie Long, Chris Long and Brittany Mahomes would make one of the biggest announcements in the history of the sport. On Oct. 26, 2021, they announced a privately-funded soccer-specific stadium at Berkley Riverfront Park, set to be the first soccer stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional sports team in the world. We are changing the KC skyline and the landscape women’s sports.
