Our Ownership
Angie Long
Angie Long
Angie is a trailblazer in the world of credit-related asset management, having dedicated her entire career to portfolio management and trading.
She spent more than a decade working on Wall Street and was named Managing Director of JPMorgan Chase & Co. at age 29. She held many senior roles, including Deputy Head of North America Credit Trading, before moving to Palmer Square Capital Management where she serves as Chief Investment Officer and leads all investment-related activities.
An advocate for equal opportunities for women no matter what field or industry, Angie’s determination and vision was critical in securing an expansion franchise for Kansas City. Her commitment to the vision is one of many ways in which Angie proudly supports women, opening more doors for generations to come behind her.
Angie is a Kansas City native who grew up playing many sports at a high level, including soccer where she excelled as a goalie. At Princeton University, Angie played rugby and was a member of two National Championship Teams, earning recognition as Co-Captain and Co-Coach her senior year. She was selected as an All-American in 1997. Angie obtained an Economics degree from Princeton.
Chris Long
Chris Long
Chris Long founded Palmer Square Capital Management, an approximately $22 billion asset manager focused on corporate and structured credit with offices in Kansas City and London, in June 2009.
Currently, he serves as Chairman, CEO and Portfolio Manager. Since inception, Chris has been successful in building one of the premier credit investment firms in the world with an enviable client list that includes not only large institutions and family offices, but also RIAs, bank/trust, and broker-dealers. Prior to starting Palmer Square, Chris built a deep investment background at some of the top financial firms in the world including Morgan Stanley, TH Lee Putnam Ventures, and JPMorgan & Co. Chris’ breadth of investment experience includes hedge fund investing, private equity / venture capital, and finally, investment banking.
In December 2020, Chris added the title of Professional Sports Team Owner, as he joined Co-Founder and Owner Angie Long and Co-Owner Brittany Mahomes in bringing a National Women’s Soccer League franchise to Kansas City. The Kansas City Current launched on an extraordinary timeline, playing its first professional match just 124 days after the franchise was announced. As owners, Chris, Angie, and Brittany have had a clear vision of not only establishing the best women’s soccer club in the world, but also having the Kansas City Current serve as a model for all of women’s sports. Chris serves on the National Women’s Soccer League’s (NWSL) Board of Governors and Expansion Committee as well as on the Executive Committee of the Kansas City 2026 World Cup Bid. Finally, Chris was recently recognized for winning the prestigious Kansas City Sports Commission’s 2022 Sports Executive of the Year and Sports Business Journal’s 2022 Power Players – Women’s Sports.
Chris received an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and an AB degree in Economics cum laude from Princeton University where he played varsity basketball.
Brittany Mahomes
Brittany Mahomes
Brittany is a certified personal trainer and fitness entrepreneur. She is a former collegiate soccer player and competed internationally as a professional soccer player for one year in Iceland.
Brittany followed her passion for fitness, launching an online training program in 2019, to make a positive impact on people’s health and wellness.
Brittany focuses her passion on creating exercise and training programs for people of all states on their fitness journeys and works to empower those to become the best version of themselves. An advocate for women in sports and a leader in the Kansas City community, Brittany has always had her eyes on bringing the NWSL back to KC. Her competitive drive and passion for the game of soccer bring a new energy to the club’s ownership group. She shares the Longs’ commitment to continue building a championship mentality in Kansas City for years to come.
Brittany obtained a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from UT Tyler.
Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes II is the starting quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs; founder and chairman of the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation; founder of 2PM Productions; co-owner of the Kansas City.
Current; co-owner of the Kansas City Royals; and co-owner of Sporting KC. In 2022, Patrick joined his wife, Brittany, in the ownership group of the Current, and became the first active NFL player to have equity in an NWSL team. Patrick shares the same vision as co-owners Chris, Angie, and Brittany of establishing the best women’s soccer club in the world and having the Kansas City Current serve as a model for all of women’s sports.
Since being drafted by the Chiefs as the 10th overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, Patrick has made a significant impact both on and off the field. On the field, he has led his team to five-consecutive home AFC Championship Games, three Super Bowl appearances, and earned both NFL MVP (2018, 2022) and Super Bowl MVP (2019, 2022). Patrick leads the NFL in collective passing yards and TD passes over the last five seasons. Patrick has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times (2018-2022), including being named the Offensive MVP in his first Pro Bowl. Additionally, he was named to the AP All-Pro Team (2018, 2020, 2022) as well as AP Offensive Player of the Year (2018). Most recently, he capped off the 2022 NFL season with a win in Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles. Patrick is the only player in NFL history to win two Super Bowls and two Super Bowl MVP accolades before the age of 28 years old.
In 2022, Patrick was recognized as the Chiefs Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee for his charitable contributions in the community. Patrick founded the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation in 2019 with a mission of improving the lives of children through initiatives that focus on health, wellness, underserved communities and other charitable causes. Since its inception, Patrick and the foundation have made a remarkable impact in the community, including providing more than 134 charitable grants, over $2.9 million in grant funding and donating over 140,000 meals.
Patrick has instilled many significant projects and programs across the Kansas City region as well as numerous other communities that have impacted his life. Patrick and the foundation re-dedicated Kansas City’s Martin Luther King Jr. Park and contributed a $1 million donation toward the playground that was designed to celebrate Dr. King and create a place that is inclusive and accessible for all children. Presently, Patrick and the foundation continue to emphasize its signature “15 for 15” program, which supports 15 charitable youth initiatives that focus on academics, science, the arts, classroom supplies, athletics, children with disabilities, after-school programs, and more.
Patrick and Brittany have two children, Sterling Skye and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

CPKC donates $1,000 for each goal scored by the Kansas City Current. Last year, after KC Current set a league record for goals scored, $60,000 was raised and donated to the Adelaide C. Ward Women’s Heart Health Center. You’ll see CPKC out in the community as well, promoting heart health awareness or hosting CPR trainings for fans on matchday.
